Plus points for the room which, though so small we had nowhere to open our suitcases and unpack was well appointed and comfortable. The shower on the other hand was so small that you bumped into everything on the way in and out. I am tall but not enormous, so bear that in mind when booking. The spa was not open when we stayed. My only bug bear was dinner in the restaurant - the soup was cold so I had to send it back and it was barely warm when it was returned. The risotto was ok but oversalted. Why are hotel dining experiences always mediocre? No kids allowed, easy access to Rovaneime, don't bother with Santa Claus village, its tacky beyond belief. The Northern Lights were simply incredible but wrap up warm, there is a lot of wating around for the stars to align - oh and remember to work out how to use your smart phone camera with a long exposure, its worth it.
